Job Summary

OnviSource is expanding its Product team and is actively seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME). 
In this role, the ideal candidate will play a pivotal part in our growth by:

 

  • Fully understanding OnviSource products and services, engaging in product validation before release, deploying the products, training, and onboarding customers

  • Supporting the company’s sales and marketing through product presentations, demonstrations, proofs-of-concept, and sales proposal technical support

 

The ideal candidate will blend technical expertise with strong sales acumen to contribute significantly to the company’s revenue growth.
 

Primary Job Duties

Subject Matter Expert:

 

  • Become a subject matter expert for one or more of our products, understanding and articulating their technical features and benefits.

  • Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.

  • Provide insight, inspiration, and thought leadership for new features, functionalities, and products.

  • Create software requirements documentation for new features, functionalities, and products.

 

Customer POC & Onboarding:

 

  • Manage proof of concepts (POC) and customer onboarding processes.

  • Provide training during Onboarding to ensure a smooth transition to our products/services.

  • Make the product features aligned with customers’ needs to maximize their satisfaction with our solutions.

 

Sales Engineering:

 

  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify sales opportunities.

  • Create product presentation slides and materials.

  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospects.

  • Provide technical support and guidance throughout the sales cycle.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners as trusted advisors.

Collaboration & Communication:

 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of solutions.

  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of solution requirements.

  • Participate in regular team meetings to provide updates on project progress and contribute to discussions on software requirements.

Qualifications

General Skills:

​

  • At least 3 years of experience directly related and relevant to the job definition

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience from an accredited institute

  • Proven experience in Product Engineering, Sales Engineering, or similar roles

  • Strong technical background with the ability to grasp complex concepts quickly

  • Proven experience in installing and configuring complex software

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment

  • Experience in managing proof of concepts (POC) and customer onboarding

  • Experience in developing functional software requirements documents

 

Technical Skills:

​

  • Knowledge of various programming languages, databases (MySQL), and software development methodologies

  • Background in installing, configuring, and supporting .NET and other software applications

  • Familiarity with interaction and data analytics tools and techniques

  • Knowledge of:

    • Contact Center Solutions

    • Speech and Text Analytics

    • Artificial Intelligence Solutions (Generative AI, ML/DL, etc.)

    • Systems Architecture

Compensation & Benefits:

 

  • Work Location: Remote or Office

  • Job Type: Full-time

  • Salary: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year depending on the qualifications
