Job Description

OnviSource, an emerging and growing provider of software solutions and cloud services in workforce optimization, multichannel analytics, customer experience management, RPA process automation, and IVA self-service for contact centers and enterprises, is now offering an exciting Sales Engineer position for highly qualified candidates with strong drive and potential for growth and progressive career opportunities. 

The Sales Engineer is responsible for understanding our products/services in-depth and effectively communicating their value to potential clients, conducting proofs of concepts (POCs), and providing customer training and onboarding. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong sales acumen to drive revenue growth. 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Sales Engineering

 

  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify sales opportunities.

  • Create presentation materials including PowerPoints and diagrams.

  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospects.

  • Provide technical support and guidance throughout the sales cycle.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners as a trusted advisor.

 

Subject Matter Expert

 

  • Become a subject matter expert for one or more of our products, understanding and articulating their technical features and benefits.

  • Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.

  • Provide insight, inspiration, and thought leadership for new features, functionalities, and products.

  • Create software requirements documentation for new features, functionalities, and products.

 

Customer Onboarding

 

  • Manage proofs of concept (POC) and customer onboarding processes.

  • Provide training during a POC and customer onboarding to ensure a smooth transition to our products/services.

 

Collaboration and Communication

 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of solutions.

  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of solution requirements.

  • Participate in regular team meetings to provide updates on project progress and contribute to discussions on software requirements.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of professional experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience

  • Proven experience in a Sales Engineer or similar role

  • Strong technical background with the ability to grasp complex concepts quickly

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Experience in managing proof of concepts (POC) and customer onboarding

  • Experience developing functional software requirements documents

  • Technical Skills:

    • Knowledge of relevant programming languages, databases, and software development methodologies

    • Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques

  • Knowledge of any of the following is a plus:

    • Contact Center Solutions

    • Speech and Text Analytics

    • Artificial Intelligence Solutions (Generative AI, ML/DL, etc.)

    • Telephony (VoIP, etc.)

    • Systems Architecture

  • Must have a strong value system and work ethic

 

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift

  • Monday to Friday

Work Location: Remote
